Lake Quincy Media was formed in 2006 in order to establish a separate identity for the advertising network that was organized by ASPAlliance.com in 2001. Although the company was only officially established as a separate entity in 2006, its ownership and staff remain the same, and all of the ASP Alliance Ad Network's existing publishers and customers have been transferred to Lake Quincy Media with no break in service.

Lake Quincy Media is named after a lake on the north side of Kent, Ohio
